- I haven't had to do this for quite some time, but I remember when I used
- to be on my Commodore playing games all the time, I would occasionally
- come across a game that would not load from the disk. I remember on three
- occasions being able to do the following. I would load the game, and after
- a while, it would stop loading, in the same spot. Then, sometimes, if I
- continually pressed restore and sometimes run/stop + restore, over and
- over again, the game would load a little bit further, then I would have
- to start over and repeat the same process and eventually it got to the
- point where the game would load flawlessly every time. I remember being
- able to do this on two games, Ghostbusters (an original vesion that didn't
- work from day one) and Karateka (a pirated version that didn't work). The
- games would eventually load just fine. Anybody have any idea why this would
- work, or have any similar experiences? Is this a common practice? Thanks
- for any help.
